The FFG Sonar System is a mid-frequency hull-mounted active sonar designed for frigates. The system is capable of detecting and tracking silent submarines, and also provides passive detection and alert on incoming enemy torpedoes.

The system has various advanced features such as sensor stabilization, automated/manual multi-target detection/tracking/classification, and real-time sonar performance prediction.
