The Towed Array Sonar System is a passive line array sonar system that has recently been upgraded. The system is currently operated on Korean destroyers and frigates. Overall, automatic target detection and classification technology have improved significantly in comparison to previous towed array sonar systems.

The system has also been equipped with a highly accurate sonar performance analysis feature. The system is capable of detecting, tracking, and classifying diverse surface & underwater targets and is able to automatically detect and alert on incoming enemy torpedoes.
