Ulsan Batch-I AESA Rada
Ulsan Batch-I AESA Radar
The state-of-the-art Ulsan Batch-I Active Electrically Scanned Array (AESA) Radar detects and tracks aircraft and ships, generates target information, and provides the information to the combat system for gunfire support.
The Ulsan Batch-I AESA Radar is the first AESA radar developed in Korea. In rotating the antenna mechanically in azimuth, the electric beam steers in elevation. The digital multiple beamforming of the radar minimizes the target surveillance time.
Compared to radars in operation around the globe today, it has superior performance and functions such as automatic aircraft/ship detection & tracking capabilities.
