Electro-Optical Tracking System for PKG Combat System

The Electro-Optical Tracking System (EOTS) for PKG Combat System is a target tracking sensor for shipborne combat systems. The EOTS acquires visible and infrared imageries, tracks targets, and estimates 3-dimensional locations of the targets.

When cued by the search radar, the EOTS recognizes the target, tracks the target, and obtains the range with its Laser Range Finder. The EOTS provides azimuth, elevation, and range information for the gunfire systems.

The EOTS is the first indigenously developed electro-optical tracking system in shipborne combat systems in South Korea.

Export

The EOTS was exported to the Malaysian Navy owing to its capability to produce high-resolution infrared imageries and its tracking accuracy.
