What We Do
Military Satellite Communication System-Ⅱ
Military Satellite Communication System-Ⅱ
The Military Satellite Communication System-II has been developed as the subsequent network system of ANASIS. The system provides communication networks for the entire military force with enhanced transportability, rapidity, wide-coverage capability to set up NCOE, and provides communication ways for weapon systems. By operating in parallel with optical‧M/W communication network in peacetime and by operating as the main communication network during wartime, the system reinforces the military command capabilities.
The system operates independent military satellites and ten types of satellite terminals. It provides extended communication capacity by applying expanded frequency bandwidth and higher modulation. The transportability and rapidity of the tactical unit are enhanced by applying new types of satellite terminals. The system also assures high communication quality even in unfavorable radio environments.
The system is one of the key military strengths. It ensures Command and Control between tactical maneuvers and information exchanges between SR (Surveillance and Reconnaissance), C2 (Command and Control) and precision strike systems. ADD intends to complete system development phase by 2020.
