What We Do
Autonomus Tunnel Exploration Robot
Autonomus Tunnel Exploration Robot
Currently under development, the Autonomous Tunnel Exploration Robot reduces the risk of warfighters and tunnel exploration time in unknown environments such as underground facilities and hazardous areas. By carrying out autonomous tunnel explorations, the robot builds an integrated 3D map by gathering information from other robots, automatically deploys radio repeaters at strategic locations, and detects & identifies objects of interest.
Equipped with cutting-edge sensors such as LIDAR and CMOS/IR, the robot alternates between tracks and wheels to rapidly maneuver and avoid obstacles in natural caves and disaster areas. State-of-the-art technologies such as 2D/3D SLAM/ Mapping technology, autonomous exploration technology based on Deep Reinforcement Learning, object recognition technology based on Deep Neural Network, etc. are utilized to enhance the robot's capabilities.
In future battlefields, the robot will carry out explorations and reconnaissance missions to caves and hazadous facilities instead of the warfighers, and during natural disasters or man-made disasters, the robot will rescue people from hazardous facilities and collapsing buildings as well as identify objects of interest.
